Tree bark

I love the artistry of tree bark. It’s both uniform and random at the same time. I love when lichen or moss grows on the bark. There are so many types of bark. I love the incredible variety of colors and textures. Two of my favorite tree barks are paper bark and Sycamore. Both are pictured above. Sycamore bark has a camouflage appearance in silver, mauves and greens. Paper bark looks like tissue paper.

I have been so inspired by its beauty, I have begun using bark in my art pieces.
